We're getting ready for the Games
In summer 2012, the Games are coming to London. This is going to be an exciting time, but the transport network is going to be much busier than normal. That's why were currently making plans to help keep our business running smoothly during the Games.
Olympic Torch Relay
Please be aware of the possible temporary disruptions
due to the Olympic Torch Relay on:
- Between the 20th -27th July when the Olympic Torch enters the Greater London Area
- Saturday 21st July when the torch passes through Chingford
- Wednesday 25th July when the torch passes through Enfield Town
The Games – Late July, throughout August & early September
- Lane closures & road restrictions – Please be aware that certain roads will form part of the Olympic & Paralympic Route Network during games time, this will include sections of the M25 and A12 (see links below).
- Lee Valley White Water Centre – During the Games we are anticipating traffic knock-on effects for events held at the venue in Waltham Abbey between 29th July to 2nd August.
Our Deliveries to Customers
- Customers who receive deliveries from us may have delays to this service in the lead up and during The Games. We will always try to minimise disruption to this service such as by suggesting alternative times for deliveries.
- You may have to receive deliveries out of hours to ensure that we can get your goods to you.
- Any supplimentary fees (last mile or otherwise) that mayneed to be applied to deliveries during the games will need to be met by the customer.
Stock Management & Deliveries to DPR Wholesalers
- We are working with our suppliers and delivery partners to ensure reliable stock levels are maintained during The Games.
- We will be holding extra stock on our core range during this period to counteract any possible distruptions of deliveries.
Opening Hours during the Games
- During the Olympic Games we will be amending our opening hours. We will open at 7:30am from 29th July until the 12th August 2012 an hour earlier than normal. After this period we will return to normal opening hours. We may operate extra hours during the paralympic games and these will be announced at a later date.
- We may further amend our opening hours during the London games, please check our website on the day of your visit for the most up to date infomation.
