PRESS RELEASE – FLIP IT! – London – 6 July 2011
New Series of BBC One’s ‘The Apprentice’ comes to DPR Wholesalers in Enfield
Last night’s The Apprentice featured DPR Wholesalers, a local family run Wholesale Cash & Carry in Brimsdown, Enfield who were pleased to be able to take part in the programme by providing a business location for filming and a source of products for the task.
Owner Rajendra Doshi said:
“We were delighted to provide a business setting for the filming of the programme, and it was great to show Lord Sugar, Nick and Karren around the store. It took quite a lot of organising, but it was brilliant to be able to take part, and quite an honour.
The episode showed the teams buying products from the warehouse on the Brimsdown industrial estate, selecting items that the apprentices felt would sell well and bring the greatest return on their investment.
Manager and eldest Son – Dhiren Doshi said:
“We have over 30,000 different product lines all under one roof – 21 aisles in 3 massive units. If I were in their shoes, with so much choice and possibilities, it would be difficult to know where to start. That’s why we always offer help and assistance to our customers, new and existing, working closely with them to make sure they find the products they need quickly and efficiently, and provide advice on what’s new and our thoughts on new trends. The whole experience was great fun, and very interesting.
“It’s brilliant to be selected, no doubt that was due to our variety, the store, competitive pricing and breadth of knowledge in the sector, something I believe that our customers also agree with.”
DPR Wholesalers was selected from a number of wholesale businesses in London and surrounding areas. DPR sells product lines including Housewares, Stationery, Gifts and Frames, Gardening, Toys and Seasonal items to retail businesses across the country and has been doing so for over 17 years.
